"I ordered a size 9 as a replacement for a returned size 9. 5 - neither fit. The size 9. 5 was so big it was falling off my foot. The size 9 was so small my toes were scrunched up and squished. I have been a Tom's wearer for years and have never had this kind of inconsistency in sizing. It's a bummer and a hassle. I am out like $14 on shipping for a $40 pair of shoes and still don't have shoes that fit."

"The style and neutral color seemed Super cute prior to purchasing … The material is very stiff and rubs again my skin right on top of my foot . It’s impossible to wear them . I almost returned them right away but I wanted to give them another chance by wearing them a few times , hoped they will become looser and less stiff . Didn’t work! Also, the style seems to have changed, they feel like they are higher cut which I don’t like . . I always loved toms and purchased multiple pairs in the past . I do not find them comfortable anymore which makes me not buying them again unfortunately . ."

"I always buy these same shoes every couple of years. This years are a little different. They look better quality honestly with some arch support. But I noticed that they are a bit stiff out of the box. This doesn’t bother me because I know they’ll soften up with use. Buy half size down."
"One of 2 pairs I bought to replace my old ones that lasted for about 15 years. The sole has more arch support and I like the simple look and feel, and the shade of red. One thing that hasn’t changed is the instep size. I find it too tight, especially at the end of the day when oedema shows its ugly face, taking the fit from tight to painful. They will loosen over time, and I’m breaking them in, but until then. . rating them as ‘not comfortable’ for this reason…I’ll have to just suffer 😅 This pair also started chewing into my ankle, just above where the sock ends. Didn’t notice much colouring of my (super thin, beige, no-show) socks with this pair, mainly with the other one, but it may just be a matter of time. Still worth keeping."

"My usual shoe size is 4 in children's or 6 in ladies. With TOMS shoes I have to order 6 1/2. They fit perfectly. Takes a bit to break them in for me. I wear a large bandaid on back of heel where rubs until they get broke in. But once broke in they are my favorite shoes."
