Working on the Partnerships team at TOMS is exciting. It allows us to creatively collaborate on new products with exciting companies like Vogue Market and Jonathan Adler. Our partnerships are the meetings of great minds; each collaboration is a unique mixture of TOMS and that special something that makes our partners awesome. It offers us (and our customers) the opportunity to get out of our comfort zones. Even better? For 42-year-old Sujon Mia in Bangladesh, a TOMS-supported cataract surgery from Sight Giving Partner Marium Eye Hospital meant he could return to his work as a barber to support his family of four. No morning coffee runs or mind-numbing paper filing for us, we’re too busy working with our departments on specialized projects that each has an impact on the company. One of those fore-mentioned day trips was to the heart of the TOMS U.S. delivery system: the distribution center. Last week we all piled into the TOMS van, adorned with pictures of smiling…

Below is a piece written by Blake Mycoskie, TOMS Founder & Chief Shoe Giver, sharing his thoughts on entering the coffee business. Many of you know TOMS as a global Giving company, famous for the One for One® model. We started with shoes and then, five years later moved into to eyewear.
