#TBT: Out Of Print Style

August 15, 2013 by TOMS

With summer reading lists wrapping up, and back to school outfits at the top of our minds we can’t help but reflect on upon all the embarrassing and awkward things that made up those locker-lined days especially on throwback Thursday. Since we teamed up with Out of Print on an awesome back to school promotion , we challenged their employees to reminisce with us about the good, the bad and the literary. First up: Amanda!

Name: Amanda Barstow

1.What do you do at Out of Print? I am the Manager of Sales and Product Development

2. What 3 items would you want to hide from your teachers in your TOMS x Out Of Print tote bag? Archie’s Comic Double Digest, Gum (it was contraband!), Walkman

3. Favorite book cover you would want on a TOMS shoe? First Edition cover for To Kill a Mockingbird

4. Favorite book growing up? Just one? This question is way too hard! I wanted to be a zoologist when I was little, so I’d have to say My Family and Other Animals by Gerald Durrell

5. Most embarrassing school moment? Having to wear an eye patch for years in elementary school. Sounds pretty badass (can I say badass?) now, but at the time I was mortified.

Next week we will check in with one of the co-founders of Out Of Print and let's just say his embarrassing moment will make you cringe in the best way possible!

And don't forget snag those first day essentials from TOMS.com! Spend $75 or more and score an Out of Print tote.
