While TOMS Coffee will definitely warm us up from the inside out, here a few things I will be bringing with me to stay toasty throughout X Games. Some suggested items: 1. Brown Leather Searcher Boots — These have been my go to travel boots all winter! They have great…

Behind the Scenes with Kanene Donehey Pipkin of The Lone Bellow

Last week The Lone Bellow stopped by TOMS HQ to play some songs off their new album Then Came the Morning. After the show we sat down with Kanene to hear about what’s been happening behind the scenes. How do you take your coffee? My favorite is a good black V60, or an occasional cortado when I’m feeling fancy. TOMS classics or lace ups? Wedges! New Year- What’s one of your goals for 2015? I’m still learning the art of spending your time well while spending lots of time in a car every day. I want to write more letters,…

A Summer at TOMS: Last Days

On paper, ten weeks seems like a pretty substantial piece of time. Yet from the moment we entered TOMS on June 17th, we were frequently reminded how fast the summer would fly by. Reflecting on our last week as a Tribe, it’s become clear how true this prediction was. While time seemed quick, we forged some lifetime friendships and left with an invaluable experience. The culture at TOMS has an effect on you, and we were fortunate to have every second of those ten weeks to soak it in. At the beginning of our internship, we were each given two…

TOMS TRIBE SOUNDTRACK

Warm lattes, passing hallway hellos, the first round of morning emails… the shuffle at the start of the day here at TOMS. You can pin a song to any moment, and kickstarting the day with a perfect melody always sets a good tone. As our internship winds to a close, we compiled some of the music that has accented our time at HQ. From relative newcomers to genre staples, this playlist covers the bases. This is our slice of California summer, sit back and press play.

A SUMMER AT TOMS: BACKGROUNDS

It’s halfway through the summer, and the Tribe has spoken. Working at TOMS is awesome. Each department is unique and colorful in its own way, bustling with energy inside of HQ. Every employee has arrived here with a story, many of which we’ve been fortunate to hear over these last few weeks. As we begin the second half of our internship, we took a second to reflect on our paths leading to TOMS and what moved us to apply for a spot within the Tribe. Carolina Amaya Hi I’m Carolina and I’m from Downtown Los Angeles, which makes me the…

TOMS Optical: Meet Dr. Veronica Ruelas

This past Spring we launched the TOMS Optical collection, featuring 21 new frames for prescription lenses to improve your vision and someone else’s. New York Eyewear Retailer, Artsee helped us celebrate our launch with an event at their funky eyewear boutique (which doubles as an art gallery) in the heart of NYC. Showcasing our take on timeless silhouettes that give back, the event was huge success for TOMS Eyewear. Take a look at some of our favorite photos: Recently, we spoke with Dr. Veronica Ruelas, (pictured above) the lead optometrist at the eye care practice located within Artsee, ThirdEyeChic Optometry. A…

Hey TOMS Europe, what are you reading?

The importance of being Earnest is one of my favourites because it is all about mistaken identities and it has some great one-liners. It was funny back when it was first written (over 100 years ago, circa 1895) and it is funny now. Alex As an American cyclist, moving to Amsterdam, the world’s cycling utopia, was a magical experience. When I got hired to work at TOMS EMEA, my sister handed me down the book In The City of Bikes: The Story of the Amsterdam Cyclist.  It gave me a lot to look forward to and background into the long…
