Obviously, one shoe won't suit everybody. But these were my first pair of Toms and I've had them over a year now, and still no holes. I got them with the intention of decorating them, and now they're Sharpie'd and been in the rain, and been washed several times, and still beautiful. The only piece of advice I give has to do with washing them: scrub the leather inside too :) That's where the smell is (get over it, they smell sometimes), but I scrubbed mine with a dollar toothbrush and some laundry detergent and the smell went away. Now my Toms are bright as new. Hope you enjoy!
