I got these LAST October, so I have been wearing them very consistently for a year now. Like others have said, the gold does fade, but I don't find that it looks bad now, it just looks different. I still wear them a few days a week. They are forming a small hole where my right pinky toe rubs, but come on, they are over a year old! I have loved these shoes to death and they are still quite sturdy and still amazingly comfortable. They have gone to 6 different countries with me. I Love these Toms.
