Life in Uganda
Nearly 38 percent of Uganda's population lives on less than a $1.25 per day, making it one of the most impoverished countries in the world. Because of poor infrastructure, it leaves much of the country with limited access to health services, education and jobs, leaving women and girls particularly vulnerable.
A story of strength
Despite adversity, Uganda's story of strength, determination and opportunity continues to surface bringing hope with it. Organizations and entrepreneurs are mobilizing across the country, empowering economic development, opportunities for girls and women and better opportunities for the country.
