The Gift of Shoes
The Gift of Shoes The Gift of Shoes

With every pair of shoes you purchase, TOMS will give a new pair of shoes to a child in need. One for One.®

With each shoe purchase, a new pair of TOMS Shoes is given to child through one of our 100+ Shoe Giving Partners. Each of our partners provide health, education or community development programs to help improve the future of children, their families and communities in need.

Shoe Giving is integrated into their everyday work, supporting things like health checkups; microfinance programs; youth leadership programs; school support and more. We establish sustainable relationships with our Giving Partners so they can provide new shoes to children as they grow.

TOMS offers brand new, made-to-order shoes in a variety of styles to meet the needs of the children our Giving Partners serve. We also produce many of our Giving Shoes in the regions where we give, helping support and create local jobs in places where they are needed.

TOMS has given more than 35 million pairs of new shoes to children in need. One for One.®

What Your Purchase Supports

  • Health

    Improved Health

Shoes help protect children's feet from cuts, infections and diseases. When children are healthy, they can attend school, fight minor illnesses and grow up to reach their potential.

  • Education

    Access to Education

Shoes are often required for school attendance in many countries. Providing uniforms, which often include shoes, can increase school attendance by as much as 62%.* Education is the key to mobility and vital to breaking the poverty cycle.

  • Confidence

    Confidence Building

Although it's less measurable, our Giving Partners consistently tell us how new shoes instill confidence in children. Confident kids are more likely to stay in school and contribute to their communities.

What We Give

Our Giving Shoes are brand-new and made for school and play. We provide multiple styles and offer a range of sizes to fit kids from toddlers to teens. We also collect feedback on the fit, durability and comfort of the shoes, so we can continue to improve our current selection and develop new Giving Shoe styles.
Black Canvas
Black Canvas
This unisex, slip-on is given in more than 60 countries. We’ve recently widened the fit and increased the thickness of the canvas and sole based on Giving Partner feedback.
Winter Boot
This durable, heavy-duty boot was made for colder climates. It’s currently given in Eastern Europe, Central and East Asia, South America and the United States.
Sports Shoes
This athletic-inspired shoe is great for urban environments and sports. It is currently given in the United States, with more countries on the way.
Locally produced shoes
In places like Argentina, India, Kenya and Ethiopia, we’re manufacturing sports, canvas, and school shoes locally, helping create and support jobs.

Where We Give Shoes

How It Works

  • 1

    Make a Match

Everything starts with your purchase. Once shoes are bought, we collaborate with our Giving Partners to distribute the same number of pairs as our customers buy.

  • 2

    Customize the order

Our Giving Department works with our Partners to place orders for the right sizes, quantities and types of shoes, providing logistical support and first-rate customer service.

  • 3

    Deliver & Distribute

We send new pairs to our Giving Partners, who place the shoes directly on children's feet — as part of their programs to help kids and communities.

  • 4

    pick up the tab

Giving shouldn't come with hidden costs, so we help cover expenses to transport and distribute the shoes, including freight, vehicle rental and even delivery by donkey. LEARN MORE

  • 5

    Review & improve

We're always learning. We assess the impact of our giving through partner feedback, site visits and commissioned field studies. Then we adapt, to make it more effective.

  • 6

    Repeat

We're committed to giving responsibly and sustainably, working with our partners to provide new shoes as needed.
