TOMS + Freedom & Fashion
Last weekend, TOMS was part of something quite unique and close to our “sole”. We joined the 2nd annual Freedom and Fashion event in Irvine, CA.
Freedom and Fashion is dedicated to educating society about the global social issues of modern-day slavery, sex trafficking, child labor, and human rights violations. FnF addresses these injustices through the purchasing power of conscious consumerism, by increasing the demand for socially responsible and ethically produced goods and ensuring they are readily available to consumers. (Freedom & Fashion Mission Statement)
Our presence there was humble; we were only one of many other cause-driven fashion, apparel and advocacy brands that have based their business on a vision for helping others who may not have the power or resources to help themselves. It was exciting to see so many innovative and creative models of philanthropy in one space at one time. Each representing a story far greater than themselves. TOMS high-fived with organizations like Krochet Kids, Falling Whistles, Tag Bag, Night Light, LiNK, Not for Sale, International Princess Project, and so many others. After a magical evening among over 1,300 like-minded individuals, we came away more inspired, encouraged and thankful to be working in a community of causes striving toward a common goal. We salute all of our friends who are also working hard to empower you, the consumer, to make the world a better place.
We also couldn’t help but really liking to see TOMS strutting down the runway!
